2017 Pinot Noir

Josh's Notes

I have long been in love with the Willamette Valley and its success with Pinot noir and Chardonnay - a close neighbor to Walla Walla and one my Wife and I have personally enjoyed watching grow. Since the 2011 vintage, I got to make Willamette Valley Pinot noir under my longtime mentor Chris Figgins for his Toil Oregon project and it was a fantastic learning experience. That being said, I was ecstatic and eager to not only venture in to Pinot noir on my own, but also to start with a vineyard site I was already familiar with. Planted on Willakenzie soils at a moderately high elevation, the Ridgecrest wine in barrel is showing fantastic aromas of fresh blackberry, black tea, and has an incredible texture and balancing acidity- this is a project I can’t wait to share with our club members!
