2019 Pinot Noir

Josh's Notes

I continue to be impressed by the quality of the vineyards we have been able to work with in the Willamette Valley. This wine comes from two qualitative book ends of the valley with Ribbon Ridge in the North, and the Eola - Amity Hills in the South. This wine embodies a sense of place along with the diversity of the Willamette Valley - the same mentality we take in the Walla Walla Valley and Doubleback. Loads of freshly picked raspberries, a new bouquet of spring flowers, and rainier cherries are all complemented by truffle, subtle hints of oak and baking spices, and brings up memories of walking through a Northwest forest on a warm spring day. The wine itself really lights up after being opened for a few minutes, has great acid, body, excellent richness, with awesome length. What a tremendous follow up to our inaugural vintage! Drink now through 2035.
